“I Am Gen Z” Documentary Screening

March 8 @ 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm

The internationally-acclaimed documentary I Am Gen Z will screen on Tuesday, Mar. 8, at 4 P.M. in LCN 211. The film looks at how social media was designed and developed to manipulate its users, and how the consequences have been particularly harmful for the current generation of young people, creating an epidemic of negative consequences, such as the rise in mental health concerns and feelings of disconnectedness or isolation. One of OTC’s own students is featured in the documentary.

Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion designed to generate ideas for how the OTC community can create positive change to promote inclusion and connectedness. The panel will be comprised of both OTC students and faculty/administrators. For more information, and to watch the trailer, check out the film’s website: https://iamgenzfilm.com/
